MoonBASIC - luwal - 04-17-2026 https://itch.io/t/6205746/moonbasic-spiritual-successor-to-blitzbasic-3d-for-the-current-generation-of-hardware Any comment on this programming language?
RE: MoonBASIC - johnno56 - 04-18-2026 Although there is a Linux binary, there does not appear to be any instructions on how to install all the necessary dependencies, that Linux requires. It looks like an interesting project. Perhaps a Windows user can provide a review? RE: MoonBASIC - aurel - 04-21-2026 I can but ( i don't want) is some sort of fake i think https://rcbasic.freeforums.net/thread/912/cyberbasic-modern-basic-language-development?page=1 so now changed name to moonBasic ...give me a break! what is next ..new name maybe called Galaxy Basic ...he he he ... ![]() Guys ...so this new is written in Go and first in C# this smells to me like AI mumbo-jumbo RE: MoonBASIC - luwal - 04-22-2026 (04-21-2026, 07:07 AM)aurel Wrote: I can but ( i don't want) Ha....you are an expert of language software. Please let us know what you think about this BASIC language. RE: MoonBASIC - aurel - 04-22-2026 I already says ,,it is not compiler than bytecode interpreter is ok if you are biased to RayLib so like other wrappers for openGL nothing special RE: MoonBASIC - Marcus - 04-22-2026 The only thing that can interest me in a basic style language for game programming is actual game exampels. Often you see all these listing of what capabilities a system has, but when it comes to examples you get ... pong. RE: MoonBASIC - aurel - 04-22-2026 Marcus you must ask AI about examples RE: MoonBASIC - Marcus - 04-22-2026 (04-22-2026, 03:20 PM)aurel Wrote: Marcus What's the point of hobby programming if you're using AI for it? Nah, I know you're just kidding
RE: MoonBASIC - johnno56 - 04-22-2026 Quote: Forgive me for interrupting the conversation... This is the core reason as to "why" I am experimenting with AI to build games. Once I get the hang of asking AI the "right" questions, I figure that I can produce any old style game that I wish. Sure, I will end up making games, but what's the point? I "learn" nothing.... Why should I learn? After all... AI will build it for me... Somehow, "not" coding a game, kind of defeats the definition of hobbyist... But... I have been known to be wrong before... Moo Ha Ha Ha.... Yes ..me to,simply because i am bad in game programming |
