I'll see if it looks cool/interesting in combination with 2D sprites. Maybe I can post something this weekend already.

Add a player, some enemies, barriers, challenges, puzzles to solve and a locked door inside the maze? I’m really curious—will I be able to see from a top-down view, like a bird’s-eye view, or more like a first-person perspective? Or maybe even get an overall view of the maze to some extent?
Can’t wait to try it out. Thanks!

Very stressful weekend, much to do in the house. I made a quick test where I combine s3d, sprites and the tilemap library. Found the sprites and tiles on opengameart. I think it does look kind of cool, so I gotta make something of this.

Yes! Something about aliens, right? Smile I made some sprites and tiles of my own after work yesterday, and today I wrote some code for picking stuff up and opening doors with keys. Maybe I can program a boomerang attack and some enemies tomorrow evening.

This is very interesting. Love the way this is going, and I think it has a lot of other applications also....I would love to see a "3d" pacman type game......I would like to try that once the code is ready for release.....

You 'must' be clairvoyant... lol

ps: "Maybe I can program a boomerang attack".

There are at least 5 different types of boomerangs. They are usually classified as 'non-returning' and 'returning'. Hunting boomerangs are designed not to return... But, a boomerang attack would be cool... lol

Well, none of my childhood boomerangs returned. They, and lots of soccer balls, ended up on our neighbour's lawn. Our neighbour was an angry old woman from Germany. If we entered her garden she came running and ... trauma Big Grin  So the game's boomerang gotta return, else she might return to haunt us all!

I can create some "clean" step-by-step examples and post them!
