I remember when I used N6, it was on Linux, as I did not have Windows or used any type of Windows emulation. The installation was a "deb" file and just run with no issues. Now, today is a different story... The Windows version of N7 runs without lag or issue on my Linux machine, using Wine. I would definitely prefer N7 to run natively, but if it turns out to be too much trouble, it would not be a 'deal breaker' if you 'dropped' it... by the way... how is that neural interface coming along? I am getting tired of using the backspace and delete key when entering text... lol

Right now, N7 runs on Linux through the Wine emulator, but I really wish it could also run on Android phones. It’d be awesome to make games on Android using the N7 language. Honestly, I don’t know how to code in Java or Kotlin for Android development—they’re pretty tough for me to learn, while N7 feels a lot closer to BASIC. So if possible, I’d definitely prefer Android.

I keep meaning to try Naalaa on Linux, using Wine, and I am encouraged by the responses above. On balance therefore, I think I would prefer android development personally, although to be honest, I can't guarantee that I will have much time to use it on either platform, as I don't seem to have too much time using it on Windows currently. All the best.... Kevin.

Although I would prefer N7 to run natively of Linux, I would be curious to see N7 running on my Android tablet. I have my concerns that it will struggle with the 3D side of things... after all the beastie runs with Android 10.5 (2018)!! lol

I mainly use mine to play simple games (mahjong etc) and my youngest grand-daughter uses it each time she visits. It would be interesting to see if N7 would run on it... Smile

Thanks for your thoughts! I don't know how good n7, with software rendered 2d and 3d graphics, would run on old or even new android devices. I guess only experiments can tell. But my android phone (Samsung Galaxy A25) has more memory and a faster processor than my n7 development computer Smile
