My win11 defender says naalaa has a trojan
#1
I was going to download the n7_251018.zip and my win11 defender said: Detected: Trojan:Script/Wacatac.C!ml

I haven't seen any complaints on the board. Anybody else have this problem? Is this a false positive on the part of defender?

I've scanned the zip with Norton, and it says it's clean.

Your detection could be legitimate if:

/.../

You recently opened an email attachment from that Nigerian prince"

Ah... I had completely forgotten about the prince...

Besides, Nigeria has been a Federal Republic, replacing military rule since 1999... Prince? I don't think so... Not much of a chance for royalty within a Republic... But, you have to admire the Prince's gall... lol

I suspect that this is a Microsoft issue. I couldn't download the file using Microsoft Edge as the browser detected a virus, but after downloading it with Opera, the file was reported as virus free using Avast anti-virus.

I suspected as much. I don't really trust defender, but just in case.  Smile

After all the stories about Micro$oft, that are floating about, I do not find your report surprising. It was only a matter of time... *sigh*
