Jam for All Basic Dialects #7

The circle-inside-polygon test looks interesting - I seem to recall that a similar routine was coded in an earlier NaaLaa version, and was really useful.
I've started to work on a 2D "Protect it" entry - very early stage, but I'll try to show a YouTube video soon......
We look forward to the game video.

I started working on my entry this evening, wrote circle collision physics and a circle-inside-polygon test, both things required for my penguin game (it will use 3d graphics but be 2d logically).

It may not look like much yet Big Grin

Nice

Their participation in the game jam is very encouraging! Blush

Added the physics for when one penguin smacks another penguin with a "weapon":

Changing the range and effect for different weapons is very simple.

And just now I wrote an editor for the ice floes. You draw polygons and create groups by marking the polygons with numbers. Groups will come off and sink (or float away) one by one (highest group number first), making the fighting area smaller and smaller.

Next I probably need to program the AI, but the enemy penguins shouldn't be very smart; they just try to knock every other penguin off the ice floe. Or maybe I'll start with the 3d graphics ...
