When will NaaLaa support browser platform???
#1
Hello, Marcus, if NaaLaa can be used to export games for browsers, NaaLaa will be promoted naturally on the Internet. Just like this BASIC tool:

https://itch.io/post/15340316/view-in-topic

Why? Ordinary indie game developers want to let gamers to play their games with browsers. Our forum members are the same! Do you agree? Therefore, our forum members will try to export web versions of their NaaLaa games to game servers. They will think that Itch.io is the best choice. At last, many NaaLaa games will be on Itch. NaaLaa will be promoted passively by our forum members. Do you agree?  Big Grin

Now the most important problem is: when will the web support of NaaLaa okay?  Huh Tongue Cool

I have absolutely no experience in web development, so that's probably very far away.

On the other hand, n7 "looks" a lot like javascript (n7 tables are VERY similar to objects in javacript), so maybe it wouldn't be so hard to write a translator. I did something like that in n5, making it possible to create java applets.

I might have a look at it but not promising anything.

In addition to QBJS, RCBasic and BBCSDL can also be used to export browser games. Perhaps you need to look into these three BASIC softwares. Good luck.

RCbasic will only distribute to Android at the moment. There has been no discussion to output to a web application. QBJS will output to Javascript and HTML. I know almost nothing about BBCSDL.... T

The ideal method of creating a Web app is via a Game Engine. Most have the ability built-in. Game engines like: Godot, Unity, GDevelop, Construct 3, Defold, Playcanvas, Phaser, Game Maker and Unreal. (Godot, GDevelop and Defold are free and open source)

Other-wise a specific utility would have to be written in N7. This would require extensive knowledge in at least WebGL, HTML and Javascript.

Regardless as to whether or not Naalaa has the people to create Web Apps, I still think it's a great idea... itch.io for N7 recognition and who knows... maybe a little pocket money on the side.... lol
Logic is the beginning of wisdom.

I believe that these games were uploaded by the author of BBCSDL. About 15 games. I played some of them on Chrome BBCSDL is really not bad.
