How long does it take to write a guide as BazzBasic's guide?

In the past I have used SDLBasic and RCBasic and both had the same issue. SDLBasic did have and RCBasic has either a very small development group or a single developer. Documentaion, especially including working examples, is a HUGE project. For example: Checkout QB64pe and its integrated help system (F1 key). Every (literally) command is described in detail and includes a sample listing and will refer to other commands if needed. I cannot imagine the amount of work that went into that help system. QB64pe has the people dedicated to spend the time needed.

SDL and RC would produce a document that would give you the command and the format that was to be used. Very few examples given. RC is in the process of updating its documentaion... Time and talented personel are what is needed.

But, you are correct... Novices "need" to have documentaion that will make it easier and quicker to learn the language...

I agree.

By the way, I look forward to a midsize NaaLaa user base after ten years.

Hmm... 10 years you say? Well, I can't promise, but I'll try to be here if I can...

I agree with Johnno ...of course

luwal

I really don't know what you expect
There is no such a thing that better documentation push or gain popularity
of any programming language
it can only help a little bit..

BASIC or similar INDIE languages are not popular among wide population
especially among younger from 15 - 25 old
Also there are lot of them

Then big scam called AI or LLM which kill the mood
and charm of programming

so 10 years ...omg ...
who know what will be for 2 years
