Yeah... It all seems to be for either the purpose of making money or the acquisition of information which is also sold... If this keeps up, who knows, we may end up moving back to pencil and paper... lol

There are times when the command line is used in Windows as well... but, nowhere near as often, as with Linux. Manual commands. You either hate then or you learn to accept them... One of the "trade offs" that come with operating systems... One usually puts up with the "tedious" tasks because of the enjoyment the overall operating system brings...

Since you guys mentioned DOS, Microsoft open-sourced MSDOS recently.

Not liking Mint? Not a problem. I have heard worse than that... lol

I tested LMDE 6. Not a fan of KDE Plasma... I know, I can change it if I want to, but I am by nature very lazy... lol

I tried to use RedHat many, many years ago. At the time I was using Ubuntu 5.10 and knew very little about other distros. RedHat came with a computer magazine on CD. Installers, back then, were not as refined as they are today. I could not get it installed and at that time we had ultra-slow internet via the phone line. Did not know of any forums etc... RedHat was "shelved" and was never used again...

Win7... I use Win7 via Virtual Machine from time to time... Just for those games that Linux cannot run very well...
My favourite was WinXP. Cheesy colour schemes but very stable... imho... lol

Guys I was referring to a meme - I use Arch BTW LOL.

Regarding the OS I use, I'm currently using Arch but I Distro hop every year... that's kind of my ritual.

I'm into Linux ricing recently, and I am thinking about leaving Windows forever.

But I still love Windows XP—good old days. ?
