However, polyline as a race track mapped with S3D library is interesting too ... perhaps, someday, we could find a better way and improvement on the car racing game

For something like Outrun and Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge, I think the best way is fake 3D as in the old thread. But as I said, there are no real turns with that approach. The car and road always move forward along the z axis, the road just shifts left and right.
