Regarding the OS I use, I'm currently using Arch but I Distro hop every year... that's kind of my ritual.

I'm into Linux ricing recently, and I am thinking about leaving Windows forever.

But I still love Windows XP—good old days. ?

I have been using Linux now for almost 20 years. Started with Ubuntu (2005) and switched to Mint not long after. I have been testing various distros over the years because they have improved a LOT... WAY too many distros? Could be... But its fun to "dip the toe in" every so often...

I have XP with a Virtual Machine... just for nostalgia...

well it is not a secret winXP is the best of OS Microsoft created so far
because is really really fast..in real you cannot find any linux which is fast like XP.
win7 is good but is slow .
BIG and main problem with all distros is because nothing of Desktop environments are
nOT native to OS ....all of them are third party
same is with window managers
they not build into system because Linux is still just monolith console OS
and is so damn resource hungry

Mint..heh ..i never liked from time when i try Mint 7 i think
it is soul-less distro

BUT Arch is really different
unfortunatelly Slackware become obsolate and bloated in so many ways that is crap.

Well ..we must know one thing Linux Desktop never will be better than Windows
if for nothing then because graphic drivers

I don't understand why Microsoft discontinued WinXP. They should have kept maintaining XP with security and driver patches. A perfect candidate for LTS.

Microsoft knowingly or unknowingly found a sweet spot between bloatware and minimal os with Windows XP.
